The challengeDevelop a live visual experience capable of translating Dardust's Urban Impressionism into a coherent visual language. The challenge was to transform the principles of Brutalist architecture into a one-hour audiovisual performance that could evolve alongside the music without becoming merely illustrative.
The idea2RIOT approached Brutalism as a living visual system rather than an architectural style. Starting from lines, geometry and construction, the performance gradually builds impossible cities and monumental structures before dissolving into a landscape where nature slowly reclaims the built environment.
The experience2RIOT led the project from visual research to final production, building an extensive archive of Brutalist references that informed the entire creative direction. Designed for a large-scale LED stage, the visuals combine graphic precision, architectural forms and audio-reactive animation, creating a continuous dialogue between music, space and motion throughout the performance.
OutcomePremiered as the visual identity of Dardust's Urban Impressionism Electro Set, the live show accompanied the tour with a distinctive monochromatic aesthetic that gradually opened into colour. The project transformed architectural research into an immersive performance, giving static structures a cinematic sense of rhythm, scale and emotion.
